How to lose baby weight ...how many times have you googled it?
STOP! I’m sad to say I did when I was pregnant. It’s common and so sad that we are still doing it. Here are some others you may recognise..
How to lose weight? How to lose weight in a week? How to lose a pound a day? How to lose baby weight? What is the fastest way to lose weight? How to lose weight quickly? How much weight do you gain during pregnancy?.
These are some of the top searches on Google when you just type in the words ‘how to’...we are a world obsessed with weight loss and people....I was once in the same boat. So obsessed with weight loss, weight management, quick fixes, diets that I really got myself in some very tough places. Not anymore!
You’re a mum, you are busy, you are tired, you feel a mix of exhausted and happy to have those little cherubs all at the same time and generally you push yourself to the brink on a daily basis just trying to be supermum, super wife, super daddy too in many cases- all things to all people and where does that leave you?
When I had G I lived literally on toast and grabbing chocolates here and there as I was all consumed with all of the above plus the crazy hormones and not appreciating truly what my body had done, instead focusing on how I looked.
I look back now and so glad I found the right solution for me which turned it all around. It wasn’t in the end about weight loss, I had to genuinely work to change my mindset, embrace my body and what it had done growing and actual human and the physical transformation was simply a bonus.
What if you could look in the mirror and be comfortable with what you see? What if didn’t compare your body to other people’s because you were happy that yours is amazing? What if you knew that you were strong, that you were healthy and you had confidence?
This all exists, we just need to make a change and rather than focusing just on weight loss it needs to be about changing our lives for the better- our health, our happiness, our wellbeing, our fitness and the weight loss becomes a by product! This is much more a mental change than a physical one...mama, I’ve got you, this is what I do.
